What this is

Journey to Change Therapy Services ("we," "us," or "the practice"), operated by Amanda Alleyne, LCSW (Florida License #SW21188), provides this privacy notice to explain what information we collect through this website and how we use it.

This privacy policy applies only to the website at journeytochangetherapy.com. It does not apply to clinical care, which is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices provided at the start of therapy.

Information we collect

When you fill out the contact form on this site, we collect:

• Your first and last name
• Your email address
• Your phone number (optional)
• The service you are interested in
• The message you write to us
• Your IP address and browser user-agent (for security and spam prevention)

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies on this site. We do not collect health information, payment information, or any other personally identifying details through this website.

How we use it

We use the information you submit through the contact form only to:

• Respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
• Maintain a record of who has reached out to the practice
• Detect and prevent spam, abuse, and automated form submissions

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your information to third parties, with the limited exceptions described below.

Where your data lives

Contact form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted within the United States. Email notifications are delivered through Brevo (Sendinblue SA), an email service provider. By submitting the contact form, you consent to your information being processed by these providers solely to deliver and respond to your message.

Important: This form is not HIPAA-protected

The website contact form is a standard internet form, not a HIPAA-compliant channel. Please do not include sensitive personal health information, medical history, diagnoses, or details you would not want stored in a non-clinical system. If you need to share clinical detail, please wait until your first session or use the HIPAA-compliant intake process we will provide.

How long we keep it

Contact form submissions are retained for as long as needed to maintain the relationship with you, and may be deleted on request. You can ask for your contact form record to be deleted at any time by emailing hello@journeytochangetherapy.com.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, email hello@journeytochangetherapy.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
